Professional Critique Raffle from Lesley Marshall

Lesley Marshall's input added depth to my manuscript.
Many romance writers, especially those in New Zealand, but also further afield, will know of Lesley Marshall, whose business is called Editline. Lesley has been critiquing and editing fiction and non-fiction for more than 25 years. Lesley's clients include multi-published authors in the romance genre and she is able to supply references upon request. Lesley works for writers, helping them polish manuscripts before submitting to a publisher. I can personally vouch for Lesley's work (see insert). Her input into one of my manuscripts truly opened my eyes to the value of deepening the complexity of characters and storyline.

Proceeds are Donated to Women's Refuge
In memory of her son, every year Lesley raffles a critique with proceeds going to the Te Puna Women's Refuge. Participants from outside New Zealand could give money to their own local equivalent, and email Lesley confirmation of that - an Australian writer did that last year. The critique is for a novel or any similar piece of work, and the winner can send it any time in the next year, either on paper or by email.  The costs for entries are as follows:

One chance = $NZ20; 3 chances $NZ30; 6 chances $NZ40; 10 chances $NZ50.

Proceeds have Created Joy for Women's Refuge
Lesley says the refuge gets very short of food during the festive season. "I think one year they used the money to create a children's playground for the families there, so you've all created a lot of joy with your entries. Thank you from both me and the refuge."

To invest in this very worthwhile raffle, email Lesley Marshall at Editline. The closing date is 5th January, 2011. Good luck!

QUOTE FOR THE DAY: "You will find as you look back upon your life that the moments when you have truly lived are the moments when you have done things in the spirit of love."  Henry Drummond
